Sandy’s Favorite Things

September 15, 2020holistichealthDiet

I know how confusing it can be when changing eating habits. I made a list of some of my favorite things to help those who are embarking on this unfamiliar road of better food options. These items can be found at Wegmans, Whole Foods, Trader Jos, Martins Food, Amazon.com and Vitacost.com (Vitacost offers regular discounts through email). As always, be sure and check ingredient labels to make sure you are avoiding your personal food stressors. Here are some staples and I try to buy organic if possible.

  • Grass Fed Meats
  • Wild Caught Seafood (I like Vital Choice)
  • Pasture Raised Eggs
  • Fresh vegetables
  • Berries (all varieties)
  • Raw Nuts (best to soak and dry all nuts for easier digestion)
  • Pure Stevia
  • Pure Monkfruit
  • Almond Flour
  • Cassava Flour
  • Coconut Flour
  • Pamela’s Baking Powder (aluminum, gluten and corn free)
  • Bob’s Red Mill Arrowroot Starch

About Me

It is a system of comprehensive or total patient care that considers the physical, emotional, social, economic, and spiritual needs of the person; his or her response to illness; and the effect of the illness on the ability to meet self-care needs. Holistic nursing is a modern nursing practice that expresses this philosophy of care.
